We support ‘World Homeless Day’ at Crescent Motoring Services in Burton.
We support ‘World Homeless Day’ – On the 10th of October 2022 people around the world will mark World Homeless Day in many varied ways. This changes the lives of people experiencing homelessness in their local community. Have a look here to see how the day is portrayed. It’s quite moving.
The purpose of World Homeless Day is to draw attention to the needs of people who experience homelessness locally. It provides opportunities for the community to get involved in responding to homelessness, while taking advantage of the stage an ‘international day’ provides – to end homelessness through improved policy and funding.
At Crescent Motoring Services we are very passionate about contributing to the charity in Burton on Trent that provides support to the homeless people in and around the Burton area.
The YMCA in Burton believe that everyone deserves a place to call home and to be supported in times of crisis. This is why they are our chosen charity and Crescent Motoring Services feel passionate about providing our support.

At the end of the month, the YMCA in Burton are doing their 14th YMCA ‘Sleepout’ at the ‘Pirelli Stadium’ at Burton Albion Football Club in Burton. Everyone is invited to ‘spend a night under the stars’ in a cardboard box to appreciate what it is like to sleep out, as if you were homeless.
